This
paper discus about a critical of article Howard Zinn by the tittle “Speaking Truth
to Power with Books”. This article is about Zinn and his experience. He has several
opinions that book has many strongs and can change all of people who reads. The
history also can closer us to understand an increasingly complete understanding from every
side of humanity. The history can
more and more remind us to responsibility that we must be fulfilled as a human being. The history is
influential in all of changes of life which there are in this world whuich more
is determined by the choosing that is made by the human in other to not be
mistake.
With understanding
the event past, we have a lot of mental preparation to face the future. Although
not always exactly the same happened with the event past, the future presents a
drama of life which recurring.
The science
of history is no less important than the others sciences because the history of
science is a portrait of the initial formula in building a modern population.History
will make thr human wise and well accepted in the community. The history cab
influence whoever read. It is true from all the statements
are mentioned above, the history is written in
the book greatly affect anyone
who reads it. However better review first before reading history books in
order not to get stuck in it.
But there are many bed afeects from the book of history when we over to do it.
That can make us imittate style of the created of book which can make us must
be like him. That is can vary influence us especially for thr children who has
not understood.

We must be careful, sharp and carefully
in order not to easily to accept every problems without
prepotitions and a basis then look at it as a historical fact. But being
extreme or loose
on the history can
not be accepted because it does
not conform with the teachings
and scientific centers
of the human race. God in most cases, called
upon us to reviewing the past works’people and introduce it as a
lesson to be learned which must be

is a light way for the future. . Likewise
with book, the book is full of ocean

needs. Books can provide everything you need.

and literature absurdity

Zinn
is as American
Struggle for justice,
the equality and the power. How many students
who has zeal to
read and are very enthusiastic
with book. There are instinghts that come from book
after Zinn read the bokk of Charles Dickens. There are entire sets of data

book, shocked readers into in important awareness. Then Zinn’s think that there
is something important that writing can do, aside from all the other things.
That is enormously important thing to accomplish, to have people fell that they
are not alone, and Zinn’s thinks it does something for you too, the writer.

and a source of insight”.
Indeed, the book can
affect anyone who read it,
but the power of boundless the awareness that can
affect a person's life. A book is a the window of world that can change the
earth where we stand is, no one who deny it.
The book was created by Howard Zinn believed to change the the
awareness some people who read it.

implicit in the book. Whether it's through the
history books and story books.
Howard Zinn believe
with the books he
read. So he has
the desire to create a history book of Colombus. He just
created the the history of Columbus is only one
chapter. And it
makes the reader
surprised and enlargement with the nect stories. The
American’s people believe with the
figure of the hero is meant by Howard Zinn.
Zinn
said that“There are books that seriously
affected you, books operate in many
ways that probably cannot trace”. The books indeed can affect anyone who reads.
Shortly before reading it, sometimes we just
look at the book as
a stack of paper filled
soulless theories, the stories, the outpouring
of the heart ‘s aouthor and far from
the reality of daily life (Abdullah 34:1996).
But who would have thought, behind a book can save a great strength. So much for great
strength from the
book, so it is a powerful instrument strong, tightly gripping,
thrilling and ruling to change the
direction of the events that are being or will
be happen. Which can be directed for
good things or for bad things. However,
behind the strength of the book is implied
in it there are some drawbacks and shortcomings
from book which
greatly affects the reader. Especially those students who always believe everything
all posts or writing which in the book
is true, without finding or look for the source of truth
before.
The
book is a
storehouse of knowledge. The book
is source science. However, exceed the limit from the confined
then there will be changes which
unexpected. As becomes arrogant, pedantic or pretentious
self-righteous and snobby. The second effect from a lot of reading
this book is not often to find or uncommon. They became arrogant, bragging that
he had read many of
important books. They are easily
recognizable, because of dominating
the conversation at all forums. Their tone
was harsh and arrogant, likes to
quote the opinion of this philosopher and expose
many theory, although sometimes not contextual with the theme of the
discussion, for the sake of making
people impressed and
intend to call him
smart. Their sometimes succeeded. Their like to shout some sort of accusation or suggestion to others,
while himself a
very feasible to get the charges or recommendation.
In such conditions it is very funny, but
he was not aware
that he was acting
ridiculous and a
laughingstock people.
Conclusion
I
believe that human
being have the ability to identify the true and the false, the straight path
and stray bitch,
and based on this
capability, although history is written by humans,
but with extensive
research and study
and get specialized
in this field, people can identify
the between facts that the original standard
the history and historical
events bulging (false) and custom.
If
it is like that should be kept in mind
that no one who
believes that the
history must be accepted absolutely one hundred percent
because of that is
the case then the human no longer need to
compil discipline science such as
research, observed and so on. Similarly,
all the more incisive analysis and assessment of the issues careful the history will
never put forward by experts,
but just suffice him self with reviewing the
history and anything about the history presented,
accepted without hesitation.
Indeed
in the context of the article title” Speaking Truth to Power
with Books”, can affect
human mind or human
consciousness. The book is not
to measure moral values, but to show that the book is
a mere instrument.
Which can be
weapons and great
dynamic, depending on how far we impregnating
and explore the content
of its contents.
