Introduction
This
paper offers a critical insight on Howard Zinn’s article entitled “Speaking
Truth to Power with Books”. Many
kind and ways of the purpose to show the world by them such as skill,
knowledge, arguments, greatness and other. Here, there is one figure that ever famous in the world from
New York City, he is bravely person who can show his arguments to the world.
Zinn is the nick name of this person, the son of fisherman can think as far as he got so that
famous in the world with his arguments that he wrote in his book. One of his
books there is can changed somebody’s life, also his book can give effect to
the world.
Zinn had published his
phenomenal book that the content of his book told about history of American
States, A People’s History title of
his phenomenal book. Howard Zinn is the full name of this book, just wrote in
one aspect of the history and wrote what he wanted, emphasize the evidences
that he like. It was the reasons why his book was famous in American states at
that time. Properly, this historian called the communist person by the reader
of his book because of the history was against with history that reputed the
real one. This son from Edward Zinn, must be wrote the other aspect of his book not
only what he thought but also the other evidences or first history that can be
his book more fair and not called by the communist person because of his against
arguments.
Summary
Howard
Zinn who’s many experiences in his life, he ever got the bitter experiences and
certainly he also has surprised experiences. On the Speaking Truth to Power with Books article, there are his
experiences about books that can appeared effects after read or started to
write. Book is source knowledge, which explained anything that cans the reader knows,
understand and also can be changes the readers life. Changes the reader consciousness of book because book can introduce an
idea that the reader never taught of before. It is the effects of book, although
book can appeared the other perspectives but do not stop to write.
One
of crucial issues in Zinn’s book is about the history of American States,
exactly history about Columbus in American that until now. It is still be
unclear news because of from Zinn’s told about. This issue always wrote by Zinn
on his book, also in the Speaking Truth
to Power with Books article Zinn still told about this history that he said
in this article, the reader can changes their life because of book also he wanted
the world take sides of him and change their perspective about the history of
American States.
This history that Zinn told
about as Zinn wanted to show the world the real history and shattered the first
history about. With this case Zinn as ambition tell to the world that he is the
real historian who able and brave to show the world the hidden issue. So that
he can subjected the world with his book that told about American history and made
the reader change their perspective from the first history, although he got bad
called by the reader, he
consistent with his convictions to show
the world that hidden issue must be appeared so that American citizen know real
history of their country.

demonstrateion
and critical person, he active in Vietnam War and critical to policies the
headmaster of Boston University. His critical about to stop headmaster of
Boston University, he invited the lecturers to vote that purpose to stop
headmaster of Boston University. It is one of bravely cases Zinn, in this Zinn
called by envier and got fighter with Dr. Silber. In the other hand Zinn is not
always good person with his action to stop headmaster of Boston University, he
should told or discussed how the good way to stop it not just protest or
demonstrate about this case. His action enough to show that he really critical
person before he be the history author. Dr. Zinn able to not only speak or
protest about the case that he considers the wrong case but also he active to write the history that to blame history
before. He really brave to write it although he got a bad view.
The
historian who was born on August 24th 1992 was published the
critical book after he stopped of his activist demonstrate. Zinn has natural
character to against the wrong cases that he was known or around him. The evidences
of his character are brave to protest headmaster of Boston University, protest
when Vietnam War to get back American’s army in there and with his brave to
fight North Vietnam is the way to him to write the book. This happened showed
how Zinn is bravely person, not only with his protest but also his writing that
can influenced the world of his book. There are many people who dislike Zinn
because of his critical that against the long truth. Roslyn Shechter’s husband
also was published many books, almost of his books are told about histories.
Dr.
Zinn ever said “for the first what I taught it was be sense of my life. I should tried to
always honest on my point of view which different, but I will be more than only
taught by objectivism; I wanted my students out from the class not only to get
better knowledge but also ready to break the obtuse, more ready to speak, more
ready to against unfair in everywhere that they found. This is also recipe to
fight problems”. Zinn statements as showed how Zinn was critical person who
brave against the unfair around him. One of his way is wrote the history of Christopher
Columbus that Zinn felt the first history of Columbus is not real, there are
the hidden histories that made Zinn wanted to write it.
Zinn
is not always perfect historian but he can called mischief. A son from
fisherman only writes the evidences about the history of Columbus that he knows
and he not care or to make pass the other supported the history. It wrong case
to make historical book that only told in one point of view but is was how
bravely Howard Zinn in the middle of people who against him.
Conclusion
The
author of Vietnam: The Logic withdrawal,
Zinn has ideology to write the history. He used it to increase his arguments
but Zinn not used it more clearly, historian wrote resemble the readers are
have the same important to know what historian wrote. Zinn was wrong, he forgot
that all of reader has different thinking, not always take sides with him but
the readers have different thinking each other.
Zinn,
able to show the world with his book that brave told the real history that many
people knew yet. Howard Zinn was honest to tell his takes side to against the
first history of Columbus, this historian also brave to tell the hidden history
that was forgotten by the people. Howard Zinn can showed to the world that a
son of fisherman also can realize the books and also be activist to against the
unfair thing around him.
